About The Bridgewater Fire Department Band
We are
Canada's oldest Fire Department Band and we welcome members come and
be a part of our band to rehearse, perform, and enjoy the music.
The Band currently has about 40 members of all ages and professions:
business people, paramedics, teachers, mechanics, engineers,
students, retirees, etc.
Experienced members are always willing to help out newer members
learn the ropes. We work hard and take pride in what we do, but we
don't forget to have fun!!
Most members of the Band own their own musical instruments, although
the Band will attempt to provide instruments when needed.
The Band plays a variety of music from Classical to Modern. The Band plays as many as 30 concerts and parades in a year, including our popular SUMMER CONCERT SERIES at Shipyards Landing in Bridgewater during July and August. We ask that members participate in as many events as possible.
